Almost everyone loves taking pictures with their digital camera. Creating great images is a joy that pursued by all people especially photographers. To get good quality picture, we rely mostly on lighting. Some say that good photographers are those with ability to use light effectively. Lights can be divided in two categories.  That is natural light and artificial light. Some of the most beautiful pictures are taken by natural light, but other great pictures are created by the help of artificial light. Photographers use both kind of light according to their need and their expertise, for example in high fashion photography, wedding photography or food photography. Different time of day, will give you different lighting. Therefore same object will come out in very different mood if you take them in the morning and then again in the evening.

Usually photos that are taken in natural light have better clarity, but there are other means to create lights.  Artificial lights can help you get the best picture by harmonizing the natural light and bring colors to live. Artificial lights come in many forms like flash lights, overhead lamps, fluorescent lamps and lamps itself. That is why professional studio photography has an abundance kind of lighting equipment for creating good quality pictures.

Bright light will not give best results, because it illuminates subject in unnatural way. It can also cast shadows behind your subject. One way to help create great picture is by using photo tent to diffuse external light source, softening shadow and reducing the glare. Photo tent especially needed when you take picture of small and shiny object like jewelry, or beads. With photo tent you can capture details of your subject and this is mostly wanted in product photography.
